Job Description:      Product Manager

Overview

Automotive technology provider specialising in vehicle diagnostics.

 

Summary/objective

The Product Manager is responsible for both product planning and product marketing. This includes managing the product throughout the Product Lifecycle, gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with marketing, to deliver winning products. It also includes working with stakeholders to ensure revenue and customer satisfaction goals are met. Ensuring that the product and marketing efforts support the company's overall strategy and goals and ensuring our online presence generates activity relating to the products and services.

 

Essential functions

    Define the product strategy and roadmap

    Deliver MRDs and PRDs with prioritized features and corresponding justification

    Deliver NPI (New Product Implementation) documentation and timelines ensuring that all stakeholders are made aware.

    Work with external third parties to assess partnerships and licensing opportunities

    Be an expert with respect to the competition

    Develop the core positioning and messaging for the product

    Develop the product marketing strategy

    Develop and support our On Line strategy in conjunction with marketing and external agencies

    Perform product demos to internal trainers and support members as well as externally to customers

    Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress

    Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time,

    Ensure resource availability and allocation

    Assists QA department during the testing cycle to ensure high quality products to the business

    Creates business and training documentation

    Develop spreadsheets, diagrams and process maps to document needs

    Keeps abreast of automotive technology industry trends, business models and emerging technologies

 

Ideal Background and Experience:

     Demonstrated success defining and launching excellent products

    Excellent client-facing and internal written and verbal communication skills

    Excellent teamwork skills

    Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority

    Problem solving and decision making, sound judgment

    Keen sense of time management with competing priorities and master of multi-tasking in a changing business environment

    Proficiency in MS Office

    Examples and at least one sample of an effective product delivered and supported in the past

 

 

    Bachelors Degree in a relevant subject

    3 years of proven working experience in product management

    Experience/ Training with Pragmatic Marketing concepts and principles

    Experience in business requirements in an agile atmosphere (Epics, User Stories)

    Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    Experience in automotive loT and/or connected services

    Strong attention to detail

    Skilled at organization, prioritization and multi-tasking

    Keen sense of time management with competing priorities and master of multi-tasking in a changing business environment

    Capable of delivery outstanding customer service
